The title of this article is "&lt;a href="http://www.jnd.org/dn.mss/why_doing_user_obser.html"&gt;Why doing user testing first is wrong&lt;/a&gt;." Since this statement seems to go completely against what I've been saying, and since old Don is on the side of the angels, I figured he must have some counter-intuitive idea to pass on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And sure enough, what he says is that we "plan first, test first, design first, program afterwards" folks are guilty of the same linear thinking of the standard waterfall methodology folks.
